Overview: A nature-focused highland itinerary that prioritises community-led visits and elephant observation without riding, tricks or forced contact.

Day 1: Travel to Sen Monorom, settle in and explore the town market and a nearby viewpoint. Meet a responsible local guide to review weather, road conditions and community etiquette.

Day 2: Join an ethical elephant sanctuary or Bunong-led forest programme that allows elephants to choose their movement and does not offer riding. Listen to local explanations of forest use and Indigenous culture.

Day 3: Visit Bou Sra Waterfall early, then add a smaller waterfall or forest walk only if roads are safe. Keep well back from cliff edges and do not enter fast water.

Day 4: Take a gentle morning hike, coffee-farm visit or community craft stop before departure. Allow extra road time during rain and avoid a same-day tight flight connection.

Practical planning: Book only observation-led elephant programmes, ask how fees benefit communities, and pack closed shoes, rain protection and warm layers for cool evenings. Remote mobile coverage may be limited.
