Overview: A low-impact southwest itinerary built around registered community tourism and nature operators rather than independent jungle travel.

Day 1: Reach Koh Kong town and visit the Peam Krasop mangrove area with a local boat or boardwalk guide. Discuss tides, weather and the next transfer before departure.

Day 2: Travel by arranged vehicle and boat to a recognised river lodge or community ecotourism project. Attend the safety briefing and choose activities suited to current conditions.

Day 3: Join a guided forest hike, kayak route or conservation activity. Keep noise low, carry out all waste and never approach wildlife or enter forest alone.

Day 4: Take a second guided activity such as a waterfall trip, longer paddle or community visit. Routes can change with river levels, rain and conservation work.

Day 5: Return to Koh Kong town with a generous buffer for onward travel. Add a final mangrove or market stop only if transport timing is secure.

Practical planning: Use registered operators, tell accommodation about medical needs, pack dry bags and leech protection, and accept that weather may replace or cancel activities. Do not disclose sensitive wildlife locations.
