The experience

What to expect

Anlong Thom Community-Based Tourism Centre opens less-visited parts of Phnom Kulen National Park through locally guided walks to forest, ancient sites, streams and waterfalls. The community protected area safeguards 365 hectares, while visitor experiences can include locally sourced food, Kulen Crafts, camping by the river and exploration of the sacred mountain’s living villages and archaeological landscape.

The centre was established by the Archaeology and Development Foundation and Terre Cambodge with the Ministry of Environment, creating alternative income for forest-community families. Local volunteers also patrol protected forest against logging and poaching. Half-day and full-day routes must be booked directly; distance, access, meals, camping and national-park entry should be confirmed before travel.
