What to expect
Osvay is a community-based ecotourism destination on the upper Mekong in Stung Treng, known for its river islands, seasonal beaches, flooded and community forests, wetlands, fish diversity and birdlife. Visitors can travel by local boat, hike with community guides, observe river ecology and experience everyday village life.
Established in 2007 with support from CEPA, Osvay offers homestays, a community lodge, organic local food, trained guides and handicrafts. Published reference prices include accommodation at US$3 per person, meals at US$2.50–3, guiding at US$5 per day, bicycle rental at US$1 and a range of boat and cultural activities.
