What to expect
Discover Cambodia's artistic heritage in the National Museum's distinctive terracotta complex beside the Royal Palace. The collection spans prehistoric, pre-Angkorian, Angkorian, and post-Angkorian periods, with exceptional Khmer stone sculpture, bronzes, ceramics, textiles, and ethnographic material.
Highlights include monumental Hindu and Buddhist works, representations of major Khmer rulers and deities, and objects returned after illicit removal from Cambodia. The peaceful central courtyard and traditional architecture are part of the experience.
Open daily from 08:00 to 17:00, with last admission at 16:30. Adult foreign admission is US$10 and foreign visitors aged 10–17 pay US$5; Cambodian and school-group rates differ. Photography is not permitted inside galleries. Guided tours can be arranged at the entrance.
