What to expect
Visit the former elephants of Angkor in the 1,100-acre Bos Thom Community Forest. After an orientation, observe the herd foraging, socializing, walking and bathing on its own terms while English-speaking guides and mahouts explain individual histories, welfare and conservation. There is no riding, performance or staged bathing activity.
The Morning Routine departs Siem Reap at 8:00 AM and returns at 1:30 PM; the Afternoon Session runs from 12:00 PM to 5:30 PM. Both include round-trip transport, coffee and tea, and a guided observational visit. The morning includes Khmer lunch, while the afternoon includes a light pondside picnic. Advance booking is required; arrive 15 minutes early and wear closed footwear suitable for uneven forest terrain.
