What to expect
Koh Pdao is an inhabited Mekong island about 40 km from Kratie town. The community development tour combines a village homestay and local meals with responsible Irrawaddy dolphin watching, island walks or cycling, traditional cooking and optional participation in farming and livelihood projects.
The programme was established in 2007 by the Cambodian Rural Development Team. The published reference package is US$50 for 2.5 days, including preparation and guide support, five meals, two homestay nights, road and boat connections, dolphin viewing and a local guide. Optional ox-cart, bicycle, island-boat and cultural activities are priced separately; confirm current rates and dolphin conditions before travel.
