What to expect

Cambodia’s largest children’s community arts project returned to Siem Reap on 21 February 2026. The illuminated procession began at Wat Damnak and travelled beside the river, through the Pub Street area, before finishing at the Royal Gardens.

The 2026 theme, “Wild Parade!”, celebrated Cambodian wildlife and conservation. Eight giant puppets represented a peace dove, Eld’s deer, hairy-nosed otter, Asian elephant, yellow-cheeked gibbon, firefly, Cardamom gecko and great hornbill. Hundreds of children created the puppets with professional artists, while musicians, performers and Phare Cambodian Circus accompanied the evening parade.
