The 11th Angkor Empire Marathon welcomed 6,500 runners for 42 km, 21 km, 10 km and 3 km races through the Angkor World Heritage landscape.

What to expect
The 11th Angkor Empire Marathon took place on Sunday, 2 August 2026, starting in front of Angkor Wat Temple in Siem Reap. About 6,500 Cambodian and international runners joined four categories: the 42 km full marathon, 21 km half marathon, 10 km race and 3 km fun run.
The full marathon began at 4:30 AM, followed by the half marathon at 5:30 AM, 10 km at 5:40 AM and 3 km fun run at 5:50 AM. The course passes through the Angkor World Heritage landscape and nearly 40 ancient temples. Advance registration and race-pack collection were compulsory.
