Players in this game will be divided into 2 groups (normally boys and girls) confronting each other putting 3 or 5 Angkunh in pyramid shape towards each other and distanced approximately 8 meters. The Angkunh so-called "Kaoy" (seed) is divided as "Planting Kaoy" and "Throwing Kaoy". The two groups are called the planting group and throwing group as well.
A member of each group is given a chance to throw the Angkunh. Even though the rule of games is very comprehensive. However, In principle, the "Throwing group" is to throw the "Throwing Kaoy" to smash the "Planting Kaoy" of the other group one by one and leaving the middle seed (top of the pyramid) the last to be hit. When the "Throwing Group" successfully smash all the of the "Planting Kaoy" and the other team cannot smash back, the winner will "Chous" (Knock the knee) of the losers. However, If the "Throwing Group" smash down the middle seed first, they will lose and vice versa. The "Chous" is accomplished by holding one seed against a joint-preferably the knee, but the shoulder or elbow is also used-and hitting it with the other seed. If winning group knocking fails to produce a clacking sound, so the losing group get to knock back.
